When SONY Legacy’s Music Division approached us, they proposed an extensive redesign that was to become the ultimate Whitney Houston fan site. SONY looked to our design team to convey Whitney's energy and charm, and include a rich depth of information and features so that her fans would continue to be completely engaged and look forward to finding more information about Whitney with each new visit.
Our approach was to design a site that reflected Whitney’s life, music, and performances. SONY asked us to rethink all functional aspects and aesthetics of the current site and provide design directions around certain criteria they and the Houston family provided. We understood that the design of this site meant everything to its success. Working closely with SONY and decision makers of the family of Whitney Houston, we overhauled the site architecture allowing for a more intuitive visitor interaction. We then proposed a set of style tiles to convey potential design directions. These tiles were instrumental in helping us establish the Whitney Brand without having to flesh out the design of the entire site. The final site design conveys Whitney’s energy as a superstar performer and singer.
